Preparing for implemention

NaviCon Group Company performs pre-project company preparation before implementing information systems. We provide the full range of services: we diagnose the enterprise infrastructure and business processes, develop the IT-infrastructure for a future solution, develop or optimize accounting and budgeting methodologies.

Diagnostics. The goal is to analyze the company infrastructure and business processes, to collect the detailed information about the entire project scope, and to work out our offers for the remaining stages of the implementation project. At the end of this stage the company gets the full picture of the suggested information system implementation, its final results and inter-stages.

If optimization of the company business processes seems the most efficient way to prepare this organization for an implementation project (i.e. ensures the rapid deployment of the branch solution without major development), we will help this customer to modify his accounting methodology and business processes in the best possible way.

Analysis of the company business processes results in the report that characterizes these business processes with the needed detail level. The diagnostics helps to define the functional project scope and necessary allowances that form the basis for the project budget. This stage also includes calculation of the preliminary project and data migration plans, as well as recommendations for design and development stages.

Thus, based on the diagnostics results we offer the optimum set of tools and techniques aimed to provide the high company performance and to ensure integrated relations between the objects of its IT-infrastructure.

Solution infrastructure development. Based on a thorough and complex analysis of all IT-infrastructural elements and business requirements NaviCon Group Company designs the architecture for the future IT-solution for a company. As a result the company gets a high-level specification and detailed technical custom design necessary for the future system implementation.

Creation of accounting methodology. For those companies who plan to implement operational accounting we develop its policies: create standard documents, design internal standards, and help to work out the chart of accounts and analytical reports that comply with the organizational structure, existing business processes and practices.

Within the accounting policy we create:

  • organizational basis for operational management;
  • accounting procedures for data collection and processing;
  • program tools interaction charts and data flow translation procedures;
  • document forms for business activities;
  • document flow schedule;
  • description of asset evaluation methods for operational management;
  • operational chart of accounts and classifier systems (modifications of existing chart of accounts for financial accounting are also possible).

The financial chart of accounts, classifier systems and the existing accounting automation tools are studied for their compliance with operational management goals. Accounting management data can be consolidated and integrated into operational management data in ERP systems.

Work out of budgeting methodology. This is one of the most demanded types of business consulting for a company or a holding. While defining the budgeting system the company management must answer a number of important questions:

1. What are the measurable goals that the company wants to achieve?

2. What are the core business processes, how do the company’s organizational and financial structure look like, where are its responsibility centers.

3. What budget variant is the most advisable for a company: upwards, downwards or opposite?

4. Which information system will become the actual data source for all budget articles?

5. How does the staff motivation system look like? It must ensure the execution of the budgeting system regulations.

Based on our experience in the budgeting area NaviCon Group Company offers Russian enterprises our services in developing the methodology of budget management and in budgeting automation. NaviCon Group customers get the budget management regulations that include:

  • financial organizational structure;
  • responsibility allocation between the subjects of the financial structure;
  • a portfolio of standard budget forms;
  • process description for budget planning and approval;
  • procedure descriptions to control the budget execution;
  • budget amendments.

The described budgeting methodology becomes the basis of a BPM-based automated budget management system for the next stages.
